Neal Mahutte MD, FRCSC
Dr. Mahutte is board certified by both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. He did his undergraduate studies at Stanford University and then completed his medical degree and residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at McGill University. He then did a 3-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI) at Yale University. Upon completing his fellowship in 2003, Dr. Mahutte was appointed Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Dartmouth Medical School. Dr. Mahutte returned to Montreal in 2007 to become the Medical Director of the Montreal Fertility Centre. From 2014 to 2015 Dr. Mahutte served as President of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS), and from 2012-2019 he served on their Board of Directors. In 2016 Dr. Mahutte became the Chair of the Clinical Practice Guideline Committee for the CFAS, and in 2018 he became the Chair of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Reproductive Tissues Subcommittee. He is also a member of the Royal College Specialty Committee in Gynecologic Endocrinology and Infertility and a member of the specialty committee that advises the Quebec College of Physicians on matters related to reproductive medicine. Dr. Mahutte has published more than 40 scientific papers and book chapters and aims to provide his patients with the highest level of fertility care. He is a firm believer that an individualized approach with a dedicated team of caring, highly trained professionals leads to the best possible outcomes.
Sophia Ouhilal MD, FRCSC
Dr Ouhilal is board certified by both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She completed her medical degree at McGill University and her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Montreal. She then did a 3-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Upon completing her training, Dr Ouhilal was appointed Assistant Professor in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Dartmouth Medical School where she served as a Reproductive Endocrinologist prior to returning to Montreal to join the Montreal Fertility Center. She has published numerous research papers and book chapters, and has presented at national and international meetings. She is committed to providing the best possible care to her patients.
Hanane Lachgar MSci.
Hanane is the chief embryologist and has more than 15 years experience in IVF related procedures. Hanane was educated and trained in Paris. Subsequently she worked in one of the largest IVF units in France. Hanane works in our ultra-modern embryology laboratory. She makes sure that your eggs fertilize and that your embryos grow in the best possible environment. She pays meticulous attention to detail and is extraordinarily dedicated. Hanane is highly skilled in embryo culture, intracytoplasmic sperm insertion (ICSI), laser assisted hatching and embryo cryopreservation.
Gabriela Legorreta Ph.D.
Gabriela was born in Mexico. She completed her graduate studies and received a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Montreal. She has been a practicing psychologist for over twenty five years. Ms. Legorreta is a member of Canadian Psychoanalytic Society. She is an associate, teacher and supervisor at the Argyle Institute of Human Relations. Her experience with couples undergoing fertility treatment is extensive. She is able to apply her expertise in assessment and counseling and to aid in learning to identify and to cope with the stress involved before, during and after fertility procedures.
